Introduction: (I am based in NYC but coach remotely everywhere) I TRULY CARE! Your success as an actor depends on many elements including training, acting ability, marketing, online presence, presentation, perspective and belief in yourself. You are a unique being who learns in a certain way and thrives in a certain environment. This is how I coach. These are the things that I can offer you. I recognize that every actor is different and I take the time to learn how I can best serve you. I get immeasurable pleasure from guiding an you to an "AHA" moment, or decreasing your stress level by coming up with a plan for success tailored to your needs. I'm a working actor so I have my finger on the pulse of the industry and I make it my business to understand it well so I can help you to navigate it. If you are a living, breathing human being, then you can do this. Acting is about authentically experiencing a human moment which we do every day of our lives, all day long. I find great joy in showing actors how to apply their own day to day behavior, experiences and emotions in service of their character. Acting training also teaches many life skills so even if you don’t pursue acting as a career, you’ll be able to take what you learn out into the world and thrive. I have an MA in Acting from Arts Educational School in London (Andrew Lloyd Webber is the chairman of the board), and 20 years of experience on the stage and on set. I care about people, and I care about their experience while evolving as a person and as an actor.

Lana has been amazing with my daughter, who started lessons with her about a month ago. She's incredibly sweet and easy to talk to and I know that's been a huge highlight for my daughter who is often shy when meeting new people. She looks forward to talking with Lana and I think it also means a lot to her that Lana truly sees who she is. I think a lot of adults forget what it was like to be a kid and immediately treat children like they can't handle regular conversation, but thankfully Lana is not like that, so she and my daughter have gotten along really well. I've also learned a lot from her when its comes to the whole business of acting and it was incredibly valuable. She's also super responsive, if I reach out to her I hear back from her usually within a few minutes. If you're thinking about booking with her, you should do it! She's got a great energy and I'm sure you'll learn a lot from her. Super glad my daughter found her! Definitely recommend :)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer special rates for thumbtack students. The most important thing is to get yourself started so if these rates are difficult to pay please contact me directly to discuss. Self taped auditions - $65/hr (includes me as a reader, on the camera, edits and upload. self tapes with direction and coaching available for $98. Will pro-rate rate for the length of time we actually work. Acting coaching - $140/hr including audition prep, acting technique, character development, camera technique etc...$110/hr for a group of 3 or more consecutive sessions. Career consultation is $180/hr - based on your level of experience I tailor a plan for you to exist successfully as an actor in any market. Includes how to get an agent, how to book work without an agent, industry standard headshots, networking, building your sphere of influence, healthy perspective for longevity in the business, expectations, how the biz works etc…
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The key to a successful session is a complete understanding of where your student is currently in their process and career. For Career Consultations - I use google docs and create a tailored plan for each and every student. I assess where you are in your career and then add or subtract from the plan based on your individual needs. This is imperative to living successfully as an actor in any market. We have very little control in this business but the good news is you CAN control how and where the industry sees you by following essential steps for success. YOU are your business after all. For Acting Coaching - I will spend some time at the beginning of the session to assess your level of experience, training and skills. And of course, what your needs are in that particular session. From there we will work in a way that is most effective for you. I will also take the time to figure out how you learn best and tailor my coaching so that we can maximize our learning time together. For Self Tape - it's pretty self explanatory. You'll have an audition and I will read and tape you. If you need coaching or directing, that is available to you too. I also offer taped scenes to bolster your actor's access profile page. If you don't know what that means, you should sign up for a career consult with me. :-)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an excellent amount of life experience as well as a Masters Degree in Acting from Arts Educational School London. I also make a living on just acting so I am constantly around sets, actors of a high calibre, casting directors and agents etc...So I have first hand information and experience.
