Hiring the cheapest photographer that contacts you could be a great deal -- but the more likely scenario is that he or she will be inexperienced and/or ill-equipped. Sometimes going for cheap turns out to be a very expensive mistake. My recommendation is that you take the time to interview several people to find someone with a style that is a good fit for you. This enables you to find the best professional with equipment and experience that is up to the task of making you look great.
