Lin's Music Space

Introduction: Ms. Lin is the multi-instrumentalist instructor for violin, cello, piano, and guitar. Graduated from New York University with the Music Education Master Degree, her teaching is not limited to a single instrument, but rather takes advantage of multiple instrumental pedagogies and philosophies. She is also quite knowledgeable of the greatness of music theory and history which brings up her students to have a fabulous musical identity! As a strings instructor, she was classically trained by the Suzuki Method when she was a child, but she then explored diverse teaching methods (Ivan Galamian, Otakar Sevcik) and different genres (jazz, pop). She summarized a systematic Basic Violin/Cello Technique practice list and teaching philosophy that stresses out the instrumental playing body's nature and relaxation; this Basic Technique worksheet has helped hundreds of students to build solid fundamentals and improve thoroughly. In addition to strings, she also plays piano, guitar, flute, clarinet, and alto saxophone. Ms. Lin is beyond thrilled to share her passion with growing musicians of all ages in Lin's Music Space.
