Introduction: One reason my work stands out from my competition is the amount of experience I have building and remodeling homes. I have been building, decorating and selling homes for over 28 years. My innate understanding of intuitive traffic flow, architectural features and universal design in construction dictate how a property needs to be shown. Each piece of furniture or accessory you choose or color you select has a purpose. And all are geared to evoking an emotional response from the buyer. Decorating is personal. My ability to bring their vision (not my vision) to life is both exciting and fulfilling. I love the creative process.

Joanne assessed my home in preparation for selling.it. She made very specific suggestions and helped me to do what needed to be done to prepare the house for a sale. The transfomation was spectacular. Our real estate agent initially told us that the house was "dated" - after the staging and repairs that Joanne coordinated, our real estate agent was thrlled. Our house went from looking dated to beautiful. It sold in 8 days from first listing. We are still grafeful to Joanne for helping us sell our house.

I hired Joanne fromHome Staging by SPC to stage a house I was flipping. The house had an open floor plan with no defined spaces. After it was staged even I wanted to move in (and I hated that house). The house sold in 1 day!!! Now I call her for all my houses.

Joanne has a wonderful eye! When I was planning on putting my home on the market she walked through and checked every room. She gave suggestions for what I could do right away and then created a proposal for the whole property. After a real estate agent photographed my staged home for MLS, I could see how her reimagining my home made a difference. It has never looked better.

As a builder and remodeler I have been decorating and staging homes since before it was a profession. I have a passion for good design and decorating.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Before you paint call a professional stager. A professional will give you the right colors to paint and the reasons why!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers knew that staging is not decorating and it is not a critique of their taste. Staging is an art and a science. You are merchandising a property to appeal to the largest audience in a target market.
