Calvin is a true professional, I have a cable Nelson that is very old and has been out of tune for as long as I can remember, he walked me through exactly what needed to be done and really worked with me, I knew this piano was not going to be an easy task to get sounding good again and he worked absolute magic on it.

we hired Calvin to come tune and fix some sticky keys,on our kawaii piano. he came on time, spent 2 hours and 30 minutes working on our piano , after tuning the piano sounds pristine and crisp and sharp. we will ask Calvin to tune again when needed.

Mr. Calvin took two hours to both fix the pitch of my piano and tune it. Hearing him play it when he was done filled my house with beautiful music. He also helped me see what was needed and why. Money well spent. I highly recommend him.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The fee for fine tuning is $175.
The fee for pitch raise is $150.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I come to a new customers piano, l will have on a mask, and I will let you know what need to be fixed; and what the cost would be; you can decide weather to complete the job. Sometimes a payment plan could be arranged.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In 1966 l was sent from the Jamaica Scsool of Music on a Scholarship Award to London, and would return in 1968 to work there for three years.
At the end of the program I Graduated from The Institute of Musical Instrument Technology (G.M.I.M.I.T Lon.); and also won the the Evelyn Broadwood Scholarship award for 1968. It is the highest award for outstanding research on the proper sequence to Regulate the Grand piano Action. In 1978. l passed the Piano Technicians Guild Examination to become a member. (PTG).
