About

I like to think that my students value how I tailor their lessons to their specific needs, goals and desires. There is no style that is off limits. There is no sound that they should feel embarrassed to show me. We work from where they are and get them to where they need to be. I think it is apparent that I have a great enthusiasm for teaching voice and singing. I am lucky enought to get to do what I love for a living. What I like most about teaching voice is that my students can learn so much about themselves as people. Singing is very personal. Sharing your voice with "the world" takes courage and willingness to be vulnerable. This is an ongoing journey of which I am honored to be a part.

Lessons with Stephanie are always fun, but most of all I always come away feeling as though I learned something new. She is always forthcoming and kind, and introduces me to new songs that fit my voice.

My daughter started about 3 weeks ago with Stephanie. My daughter likes sort of "untraditional" music and this teacher finds things that are suitable for her voice yet she still enjoys. She is very gifted with children and very talented. I am so happy to have found Stephanie

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors in Music Education from the Crane School of Music and a Masters Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music. I have had over 20 years of voice training and professional experience in many styles of music.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I looked forward to voice lessons every week since I was a teen. I have always had close relationships with my voice teachers and I always knew that one day I would love to be one.
