About
I benefitted from a highly individualized musical education, driven always by the music I was most passionate about. As such, I am very careful to put the student's interests first in my lessons, rather than using a "one size fits all" curriculum.
I love seeing the sense of pride and excitement in moving forward in music which has been so meaningful in my own life.

Scott is a wonderful teacher. He's patient and encouraging, and also has a firm grasp of music theory and the ability to explain it in a digestible way. Moreover, he is probably the most organized teacher I've had -- he would write out chord charts and send mp3s of songs played slowly. With these additional resources, I was able to break songs down to their essence and build up from there. It's apparent that he intellectualizes music and enjoys conveying that to others.

Scott is an amazing instructor! He's very patient and made learning the drums a very fun experience. He's incredibly knowledgable about music in general, and I had a blast jamming along with him during our sessions. I highly recommend that you chose him to guide you.

Scott was a great teacher and I learned a lot. He took my very rudimentary knowledge of bass and music theory and expanded not just my bass playing skills but my music theory comprehension. He helped me get to the point of reading music easily, understanding the bass and it's intricacies as an instrument, and being able to jam with my friends. I could not recommend him enough!

I have been taking guitar lessons with Scott for a while now. I have found him to be an excellent, encouraging teacher. He has molded my lessons to exactly what I wanted to learn and accomplish while still teaching me the fundamentals that I needed. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone interested in beginning or enhancing their guitar skills.
