Breath of fresh air Jeff Malloy is. I was very nervous to use him because I just found him on the net and called him based on reviews, he wasn't recommended by a friend who had experience with him. From the moment I called, I got good vibes. He was personable and sounded like he knew what he was talking about. We are first time buyers and this is the second home we've had inspected. We had used Heimer prior and while we didn't hate them, we didn't feel like they were thorough and I didn't want to use them again. Mr.Malloy walked us through everything and explained what he was doing. He took pictures and provided us with our report within 24hrs. The report was clear and concise, no technical terms that we can't understand like what Heimer did in their almost 100 page report. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The biggest factor in our pricing schedule is the size of the home. Age and complexity will sometimes also play a small role. The average cost is about $500-$550.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All Inspectors are required to have at least 24 hours every two years...I average about 3 times that requirement!
What types of customers have you worked with?
As expected our most common type of job is an inspection of a single family home in the range of about 1,800 sq ft. My smallest was a "home" of 592 sq ft and my largest was about 16,000 sq ft! My oldest was from about 1794!
