- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
ENGRAVING Starting prices for single engraved items. Prices drop considerably for bulk orders. Flat engraving (wood, plated metal, plastic): $125 Deep relief engraving (metal, includes most jewelry items): $150 Glass engraving: $200 Outside ring engraving: $175 Inside ring engraving: $200 Custom pieces: contact for quote JEWELRY SERVICES Custom signet rings and pendants: starting at $300 Gold plating: $150 Inlay and enamel: starting at $200 Customer is responsible for all shipping costs. Turnaround time is typically 1 week or less for engraving. I charge a $50-200 fee for same-day, last-minute rush orders, depending on job complexity. I hate charging people for this, but everyone's time is valuable, so please try to plan in advance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every job has its twists and turns, so communication is crucial. Producing an exceptional finished product is collaborative pursuit between craftsman and client. Just tell me what you'd like to accomplish and I'll quote you a price and time-frame.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Engineering degree + 10 years' experience in a variety of trades working with mixed materials. My skill set includes CAD modeling, jewelry design/fabrication, 3D printing, machining, laser engraving, and hand engraving.
