Introduction: I charge $45 per 45 minutes after an initial consultation. My focus is to get you PLAYING and having fun. I don't start by teaching music theory, but teaching chords and songs. I teach you to listen to the music you love and learn to play it. If you are more advanced, we learn lead and playing solos. We focus on shapes and scales. If you are more rhythm, we learn chord progressions, pick styles, and accenting your riffs to add color and dimension. I take different approaches for acoustic and electric, as they should be treated as two different instruments. I am laid back and don't apply a lot of pressure, but I expect daily practice - I just don't push. You've got to want it. To start, I need to know: 1/. Your style and your level 2/. Your guitar type and whether this is the type you want to learn on 3/. Your budget for equipment (if you don't have a guitar) and a couple of books 4/. Your expectations.
