My name is Jack Waugh and I'd love to work with you! A few things about myself: I'm a professor of Jazz Guitar at Towson University. I've been featured in publications such as Washingtonian Magazine and I've toured and performed all over the country at venues including 930 Club, The Atlantis, Nublu, and The Strathmore. I hold a Bachelors degree in Jazz Studies from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City, and have over 15 years of teaching experience with students of all ages and skill levels - from complete beginners just picking up the guitar, to advanced jazz players mastering complex jazz theory, jazz standards, and improvisation. I'm all about making the lessons work for you and your goals as a student, and tailor my lessons according to what you are interested in learning.

I just started taking lessons with Jack a couple of months ago, and I’ve already seen a lot of progress, with a curriculum that is specifically tailored to my skill level and goals. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've actually been teaching since I was in high school- and playing music for as long as I can remember. So teaching music is a job I'm very passionate about, and I've been doing it almost my entire life.
