- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A Simple Headshot Process My process is designed to help you feel confident and prepared from start to finish. Consultation We connect briefly before your shoot to clarify your goals and needs. Styling Guidance You receive clear advice on wardrobe, hair, makeup, and location. The Session I guide you through a relaxed, efficient shoot using professional lighting and direction. Image Review In most cases, we review images together right after the session. Retouching & Delivery Final images are retouched naturally and often delivered the same day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Fine Art and Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, where I developed a strong foundation in lighting, composition, and visual storytelling. Those technical and creative skills now inform every session I photograph, allowing me to create polished, confident headshots and portraits that feel natural, modern, and timeless. But my greatest influence was my father—a renowned black-and-white war photographer in China. He worked with film, in full manual, capturing raw, emotional moments in some of the most intense environments. Watching him taught me not just how to use a camera, but how to photograph with purpose, with feeling—with heart. That deep, early education shaped my entire approach. Today, whether I’m shooting a corporate headshot, actor portfolio, or personal branding session, I bring the same focus: to capture not just what you look like—but who you are.
