I worked as a private chef for Mr. and Mrs. Richard LeFrak in the Hamptons last summer. My previous 6-month contract was to be a vegan chef to an Oscar-winning actress at the set of her new show. Now I am back at another set, cooking daily meals for her from a vegan food truck. I cooked for families throughout college, bartended in NYC, and started writing a food blog. I run my own business catering private events on weekends. I also hold a WSET Level 3 Wine certification and offer wine & food pairing dinner option. I am getting certified as a nutrition coach. I specialize in healthy, nutrient-dense cooking and can accommodate any dietary restrictions. My favorite cuisine is Mid-Eastern. I hold a NYS Food Handler’s License and SafeServ certification. I am also a TIPS-certified bartender.

Radka’s cooking was a great gift for my family. She was easy to work with to accommodate food preferences. The food was super tasty, and Radka was very pleasant presence in our home for a couple hours.

Hired Radka based on her great reviews here. She didn’t disappoint preparing a Friendsgiving for almost 20 adults. She sent me a sample menu to review after I told her of some of the dietary preferences. She invited me to make any changes or requests. We made some small changes which she happily accommodated. We did a relaxed dinner (not formal sit down) and she brought out food as it was prepared. All guest were very “oooh, ahhh” and some of our friends are hard to please but even they were impressed with the presentation and more importantly the taste of every dish. Everything was great, her pumpkin cheesecake was incredible and the salmon I could eat every night. Couldn’t have been more pleased. If you need a private chef in Long Island she’s definitely an amazing choice.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Bartending and event help is charged per hour and includes everything from travel to set-up and break-down. Personal chef and catering services are charged per head and include everything from menu consultation, groceries, travel to clean-up. Additional charges apply for extra courses.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask a lot of questions in order to meet/exceed my customer’s expectations. I want to know their food preferences and dietary restrictions or allergies.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.A. in Hospitality Management B.A. in Journalism (focus on food media)- graduating in 2020 Professional kitchen experience SafeServ certification NYS Food Handler's License TIPS certification (alcohol awareness training for bartenders)
