Meet with your prospective service provider. See some of their work. Verify the service provider's credentials and quality of work with past clients. All it takes now to build websites is internet access and a computer. This does not mean your website will earn you any return on your investment. Use a service provider who have been around for several years and is not likely to disappear on you. Use a service provider who is doing a good job for themselves. For example would eat a cook's food who refuse to eat at their own restaurant? A lot of web companies have terrible search engine rankings and also poor design. If they cannot help themselves, how will they help you?
