Working with The Yoga Movement and Beena was a top-notch experience. I was truly able to let go of my day and reset my priorities and intentions for my week. The atmosphere is very welcoming, calming, and perfect for yoga/meditation. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a valuable practice!Apr 20, 2020
I’m not big on meditation as I can never really focus and get distracted easily. But I decided to try again and was pleasantly surprised! Beena’s voice was so calming and engaging. I was able to stay connected and finish the session and felt clear minded afterwards! Thanks Beena!Apr 20, 2020
Had the opportunity to participate in a yoga and wellness session with Beena. She is an amazing yoga instructor and gave options on how to modify poses if needed which is appreciated as a beginner. And during the wellness session, she gave so many amazing ways to really take care of yourself and was so genuine in her care for all the participants. I would highly recommend a session with her if given the opportunity.Jun 5, 2020

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? All fees are paid when booking the session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I do a brief intake and review of the client/student prior to having a 1:1 session. I like to review their background, personal goals, and get a feel for what the individual is looking to get out of yoga on both a physical and mental level. We then schedule weekly classes and I have a routine that I advise for the individual to continue practicing at home in his or her own time. In addition, I offer mindful practices they can incorporate into their day to sustain a healthier lifestyle.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a licensed and certified Physician Assistant in Medicine and Oncology. I received my Medical and Clinical training through Touro College. I am also a Certified Yoga & Meditation Teacher who received her 200-hr YTT through Three Sisters Yoga and her specialized Yoga training for cancer patients and survivors through yoga4cancer (y4c).
