Subject: Formal Complaint – Services Not Rendered and Unprofessional Conduct Dear Thumbtack Support Team, I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a service provider WSHMI Digital Marketing we hired through your platform. Our experience has involved significant issues with services not being rendered as agreed, lack of proper communication, and unprofessional conduct during attempts to resolve the matter. At the outset, we were given clear verbal assurances that if the website project was not completed within two weeks or did not meet expectations, any payments made would be applied toward telemarketing services, and we would not incur additional charges. This assurance was a key factor in our decision to proceed. At this time, we are requesting verification of that agreement, including any recorded communication if available. Throughout the engagement, there were multiple discrepancies between what was promised and what was delivered. We were led to believe that the assigned representative would be working limited, consistent hours on our project; however, actual availability appeared inconsistent and was not clearly communicated. Additionally, we experienced difficulty reaching the assigned representative, and at one point, calls to their listed number were answered by another individual who indicated the representative was not working. We also experienced a system-wide outage that lasted over 24 hours, during which communication channels were unavailable. Despite this disruption, there was no formal acknowledgment or appropriate service recovery offered beyond what we believe to be an incomplete adjustment to our service timeline. When we raised these concerns and were informed that the matter would be escalated to Customer Service, we did not receive contact from a Customer Service representative. Instead, a Project Manager responded, Luna Grey in a manner that we found to be unprofessional and not aligned with a resolution-focused approach and she verbally insulted one of the business owners in a formal email. This further escalated the situation rather than helping to resolve it. Additionally, we have not been provided with call logs for billed services; however, we have concerns regarding their accuracy and whether the logged activity pertains exclusively to our account. We have not been provided with sufficient transparency to validate these claims. Given the above, we are requesting that Thumbtack review this matter for the following concerns: ● Failure to deliver services as agreed ● Misrepresentation of service terms ● Lack of proper escalation to Customer Service ● Poor communication and unprofessional conduct ● Questionable billing practices without verifiable support We are seeking a fair resolution, including appropriate adjustments for services not rendered. We are also in the process of addressing this matter with our financial institution. We are providing this complaint in good faith and with the expectation that Thumbtack will review the conduct of this service provider in accordance with your platform standards. Please let us know if any additional documentation or evidence is required. We are prepared to provide email correspondence, timelines, and supporting materials upon request. Huraira Rathore will be handling all correspondence related this dispute.
