Introduction: A Byte Idea is here to help bring your business into the spotlight. I specialize in the building unique, attractive, and easy to view webpages. I am also an artist (painter), so I believe that I bring a unique skill set to the table, the combination of an eye for sharp design (colors, shapes, logo design, layouts) and technical savvy to create exactly what you need and are looking for. I have an expertise in responsive design so creating a beautiful web page that is easy to view on a computer, as well as an iPad or smartphone isn't a worry, and since a majority of site visits are done via mobile devices these days, a responsive website is ESSENTIAL. I've got you covered! Need an app? I can do that too. I really love that I can bring my sense of creativity and combine it with my technical background. Meshing my artistic ability with my coding ability allows me to create a rich, highly-functional piece of work without the need for a team. Would you rather pay one guy to do the job, or pay a whole team? I was raised around entrepreneurs and small business. Both, my mother and my grandmother owned and operated businesses of their own. I grew up watching how difficult it was for them to compliment their services with technology due to the outrageous costs. This is where my passion for web design originated. I built my first website for my grandmother's quilt shop when I was just 11 years old. Since then I have graduated with a degree in Computer Science and have created many webpages and designed many logos for small businesses all over NY state from caterers to dog groomers or web pages for weddings and photographers. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a standard pricing system because I believe that is unfair to my customers. It really depends on the project itself and the complexity it requires. There is no reason a slice of pizza and a whole pizza should cost the same. I am only going to charge you for what you need.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to sit down with them and find out what THEY are looking for. My job is to them and to build something to suit their needs. That's where I like to begin, tell me what you envision for an end result and I will do whatever it takes to make that happen.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, but I have been developing web pages for approximately 12 years in my free time. Just this year, at 24 years old, I am launching my own business, Byte Ideas, as a web developer.
