The Way Band
About this pro
What makes “The Way” band unique? We are not a “cookie-cutter” wedding/ event band that plays the same songs the same way every time. Rather, we are a fun, creative, spontaneous and lively group of seasoned professionals who love to play and love to make people happy. We have a huge repertoire of material from many genres from classic and modern rock to Motown to jazz and even a little country. Typically for a wedding or corporate event, we play jazz or soft-rock during the cocktail hour that serves as superior background music that is interesting to listen to but not too in your face. But when it comes time that people are ready to dance, it’s all about the funk, Motown, rock and boogie that will keep people movin’ and groovin’. The main strength of “The Way” is in serving your event at every moment the best it can possibly served musically. How do we do this? Our decades of experience as pro musicians (some of whom have played in many countries as well as Carnegie Hall and the LA FAME Awards), gives us the ability to “read” the crowd and respond accordingly with the perfect song at every moment. Further, each member of the group also plays in other bands and brings fresh, creative ideas to the table every time we play. So, if you are looking for a real first-class band that is also totally fun and ready for anything; if you want a group that will get people asking “Wow where did you find this band?” then look no further. This, to us, is “The Way” it should be. The video shows the trio portion of the band but for weddings and corporate events we usually add a keyboardist/vocalist and a saxophonist to the line-up. In having this type of flexibility of playing with 3, 4 or 5 musicians, we can easily meet venue and/or budget requirements for any event. We LOVE to play. I personally have been performing since I was 16 years old. I have played at Carnegie Hall, the L.A. FAME Awards, and many other venues. I also offer guitar lessons in the Newfield/ Ithaca area www dot GuitarLessonsIthaca dot com
