Braulio (Kevin Construction) visited my house and measured. I was very excited with the plan he had for building my daughter's window seat/shelves. My house is under construction so Braulio told me to have the contractor finish the floor and the window trim. He asked me to get materials for the job and would charged me $1,100. We agreed. Then, he started not to answer my texts because he said he is busy. I told him he could contact me late at night if it's better for him so I can make sure I have the correct matetials when I buy them. I asked him for an invoice/quote which he never gave me. He was scheduled to come Aug 17, 18, 19. I contacted him the week before and all weekend he did not reply. When he finally picked up on Sunday night he told me he is not coming. I was very upset but we worked out that he would come the following weekend (22, 23 of Aug 2020). He never contacted me all week to say otherwise. On Aug 21 at night I called him, he said for him to come Sat, Sun and Monday I have to pay him an extra $400, and half of the $1,500 prior to him starting the job. I wasted weeks on this guy. Now I have all this material sitting inside my daughter's room. He is very friendly but he is not a man of his word, do not waste your time or money. He does not contact to cancel or make new arrangements. I had to keep texting and calling him. This was the first person I tried to hire on Thumbtack and it will be my last. I am very unhappy.
