Cameras work but there are gaps in coverage. Didn't know I would have to pay for video taping. Stills just don't cut it. I had an almost 5 minute gap when a package was delivered, I didn't see it delivered even though they were there in the 5 minutes. The only reason I knew it was there because upstairs occupants bent over to pick it up. 2 people leave house only see one in the pictures. Don't see them inside house coming in on cameras.

I recently had Blackhawk Technologies in Patchogue, NY install a 4K ultra-clear security camera system with AI features, and I couldn’t be happier. From start to finish, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and super easy to work with.

Don't hire. Louie Maiello, the person that operates Blackhawk Technologies NY is untrustworthy. They were hired to install a security camera system that includes 6 outdoor cameras, an 4K NVR, and a Doorbell Camera. On July 2, 2026 Louie Meiello and his technician installed the 6 cameras around the house and set up the NVR system but they had the wrong doorbell camera that was not compatible with the security cameras system. Louie stated he would return the next day with the proper doorbell and finish the installation. But informed him we were going out of town and we would return on Tuesday. Louie stated that he can return on Wednesday morning on July 7th to complete the installation. He asked for full payment and confirmed that he would return Wednesday morning between 9-10am to finish the job.
-Wednesday July 7th Louie texted my husband to reschedule the appointment for Friday July 10th no reason was given.
-Friday he did not show up or call or text me or my husband.
-Saturday July 11th I called the Blackhawk Technologies service number. I spoke to a guy (think his name was Dan) that said he was Louie's boss and he'll have him reach out to us right away. After almost 30 minutes I received a text from Louie "Hey , I’m sorry I didn't contact you! I’m away for the weekend. I'll be available Tuesday". Which was July 14th.
-Tuesday July 14th again he did not show up. He texted my husband that his license plate was stolen out of his driveway and sent a screenshot of the appointment with the DMV for 2:15pm. Then asked if my husband would be available later in the day or rather the Morning. My husband's reply later in the day was good.
Again he did not call or show up.
-Tuesday evening I called the Blackhawk Technologies service number and spoke with the "boss". He apologized for the situation and informed me that they just lost 2 technicians without much notice and he had been putting out fires all week but now they are finally caught up. He said he wants to make it right and if for whatever reason Louie does not install the doorbell camera he still has friends in industry that is local and he'll ask for a favor to install the doorbell camera.
-On Wednesday July 15th I texted the boss a screenshot from Louie Tuesday morning and informed him we still have not heard anything from him. I received a text message "I ordered a replacement doorbell with him today this morning, and he told me he would coordinate with you for installing it". I texted back he still hasn't reached out to us yet.
I do not usually write reviews even if the service is bad. However, I have been calling and leaving messages as of today Friday July 17th no response from anyone.
Please save yourself the unnecessary stress and blatant disrespect.
