Their years of experience allow for a unique relationship between their clients and themselves, helping focus ideas and concepts into a cooperative plan. While their projects have styles that range from classical to contemporary, modern to transitional, the common thread between all of them is taking the vision of the clients and turning it into a sophisticated and approachable reality. There is something about helping our clients take their ideas and their "must-haves" and distilling them into a cohesive plan, then taking that plan and working with our tradesmen to make it a reality. Being able to see the end result and knowing that the client's needs and vision has been realized makes this a very special field, especially since these homes are not just for someone to show off, but also live in! We worked with the Hubermans for approximately a year as we were building and decorating our new home. They assisted with all aspects of design and brought us many creative and innovative design solutions. Their contacts and knowledge of the industry were extremely valuable. They were very attentive to our wishes and followed through on the completion of all projects in a timely manner. Steve and Gail were always available to us and were an absolute pleasure to work with.

SGH Designs was involved in the process of our home renovation which included an entryway, guest half bath, master bedroom suite and master bath. As our project progressed, we felt confident in their expertise, from knowledge of sources, sophistication of style, availability, integrity, and couldn't be happier with the result. The added bonus was our pleasure in the experience of working with them during the three years it took to complete.

I am not one to normally go online and leave a review for a company, but we had the pleasure of working with Stephen and Gail, and after the wonderful experience we had with them, we felt strongly about doing so. We are now living in what is our NYC dream apartment....what they did for our space is outstanding, and we adored them as well...2 of the nicest and most talented people you could ever work with.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Our backgrounds were always in the art fields. i was a fine art student always interested in the decorative arts as well as stage and theater design and furniture design. Gails background was in fine arts always interested in sculpture ,paintings etc. We met on a project over 35 years ago and have worked together eve since.
What types of customers have you worked with?
From gut renovations to additions to complete furnishings including all artwork & accessories. We can work in phases doing one room at a time to entire project including design of bathrooms and kitchens and working with either our own labor sources or clients.Our ultimate goal is our clients satisfaction with the completed project.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A Contemporary New York City apartment for a husband and wife, a second project for them.
