House Cleaning (One Time)
I wasn't going to say anything at all, until I went to take a shower today and the grout was missing all around the tub. I can't use the shower at all without flooding the basement. The shower walls were never cleaned at all. So here goes my rant.... When the toilet was cleaned the lid was never lifted. The livingroom carpet looks like hell, The middle of the room was steam cleaned, but nothing was moved. So under the chairs and the couch looks really disgusting. Like a foot around everything is a different color. The floors were wiped down, but never swept first, so the dirt wasn't removed, just displaced. Yes the place was dusted, but nothing was moved, So there's a quarter inch of dust surrounding all my belongings with clean spots in front. The cleaners used were proudly shown to me as dollar store cleaners. Nothing "Eco friendly" like I was promised. I'm having a really hard time breathing with all the chemical smells in the house. The corners of every room are packed with dirt now and being disabled I can't do anything about it. I had a very special lenox figurine that is now broken. And the weirdest thing of all to me, was that the husband dropped his wife off and promised to come back in a couple of hours and she had to use my phone 6 hours later to have him come back. I asked how long the job would take, I was told a couple of hours, and 7 and 1/2 hours later they left. Rather than having my home cleaned I feel as if it were trashed. I can't stop crying. I gave them all the money I had left for this job and can't do a thing to change my situation. I want my money back so I can regrout the tub and have someone clean the mess I was left with.Oct 23, 2016Verified
They are professional, responsive, prompt. The team did a terrific job, exactly as requested and left the house clean and smelling good. Their help allowed my daughter to move into her new home. Recommend very highly, this team is outstanding.Oct 12, 2019Verified
Margaret and Mailene cleaned my house for the first time. They did a deep clean. They took their time and were meticulous. I would recommend them 100%. I will be having them once a month to clean my house. Thank you for sending two great people to my home!!!Oct 4, 2019Verified

I am sorry you where not happy with the cleaning. It was a really tiny apartment. There wasn’t much to clean. We where late because we had to find parking. Which I told you we where trying to find parking. It’s not easy to find parking in Albany. I did let you know we where trying to find parking. If it was so important to you . You should of mentioned you could only park on the street. Then you failed to mention you where the third floor.
House looks great! Thank you for fitting us in on short notice and the beautiful job. It was so nice to come home to a clean house. The floors and bathrooms really needs sit and look amazing! Thanks ladies! 🤗Oct 7, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? With pricing my objective is to beat all competitors. If my quote doesn't beat my competitors Call me and I'll beat it guaranteed. Quality cleaning shouldn't come at a high cost and Quality employees should make a quality wage. It is my ultimate goal to accomplish all 3 of these things in every job we bid at OohLalamaids. **We do offer reoccurring discounts if you would like to set that up ** We accept Cash, Check or Credit card
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? At OohLalamaids we get there quick do an exceptional job at a reasonable rate and if your not happy let us know and we'll fix it free of charge. At OohLalamaids your referral is our finest compliment
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I had several years of housekeeping at standard hotels in the Saratoga Springs area. In 2008 I started at the Adelphi Hotel the oldest and Most distinguished hotel in the city. The hotel owner Shelia held us to rigorous standards and taught us to clean the right way. All of her maids had to wear a French Maid uniform. All of her rooms had to pass the white glove test. If you didn't live up to her standards you didn't work there very long. I was there several years before I left for an opportunity to clean at the Hilton at Saratoga. Things were different at the Hilton, more modern and a quicker pace but I adapted and applied the rigerous French Maid standards that Sheila at the Adelphi had drilled in to me. I flourished at the Hilton and eventually left the Hilton for an opportunity at the Gideon Putnam. By now I was an experienced cleaner and did well for myself there as was reflected in my tips. While I was at the Gideon Putnam I married the love of my life and settled down to raise a family. Recently I decided I missed working and decided to start OohLalamaids with the help of my husband and some trusted friends. I think life experience is the best type of education and I make sure those life lessons are applied in the practice of my profession.
