- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a 90% success rate for contracting jobs when competing with other contractors on projects. This high rate of success comes in large part from my pricing. I also often hear that I was chosen above others for the comfort level they felt in meeting with me. It helps when you like people!😊
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After receiving a phone call from a potential client, we typically have a short conversation about what project that they are looking to have done. We will arrange a convenient time to meet and look at the project. If it is a paint project that involves colors & finishes, I would provide color samples if needed. I then take notes on what services I am being asked to provide. I then present the customer with a detailed estimate describing every step of the work process in detail. This is also a great opportunity to show the customer pictures of completed projects and share referral contacts upon request. Should the client choose to hire my services, we schedule a start date and work until the job is completed. I have been working primarily on a referral basis for many years. I started as an apprentice when I was a young man and have been working in the Painting & Remodeling field for nearly 30 years now.
