We hired Joolie for our daughter’s 4th birthday. There were about 20 kids between 2-4.5. Joolie was super responsive and communicative, helping me design the experience for the kids based on age and number of kids. She set my expectations that some kids would not have the attention span for the full 40 minute show but that was ok! The show was wonderful. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?If a magic show or interactive show is included within the booked time, the rate is $175 for the first hour of entertainment, and $120 for each additional hour. If face painting and/or balloon twisting, or a toddler show is booked, without a magic or interactive show, the rate is $140 for the first hour and $120 for each additional hour. There may be an additional travel fee of $20 depending on distance traveled and if tolls are crossed. *Please note that my rate is not negotiable.* What can be included in the booked time is dependent upon how many kids are at your event, the venue type, and other details about your event. We can discuss your party and figure out what entertainment would be the best fit and for how long. The minimum booking time is one hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First, we will discuss what entertainment will work best for your event, and figure how much time is needed based on the number of kids in attendance. We'll also discuss the age range of the kids, and what kind of venue your event will take place in. Once we figure out the details, I will send over a basic contract you can fill out with info about your party, and digitally sign. The contract also details my cancellation and safety policies. Once it's filled out, a copy will be automatically emailed to both of us. I will also collect a deposit, typically via Venmo, Paypal, Cash App, or Zelle bank transfer. The remainder is due at your event via cash, check, or any of the mentioned options. Once I receive the contract and deposit, then your booking is all confirmed! I'll keep in touch with you leading up to your party date. On the day of your party, I will text you when I'm on my way, and I'll always arrive with enough time to set up.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been entertaining kids of all ages at all types of events since 2011, across New England, New York, and in London, UK. I am also a highly trained and experienced theatre artist with an MA in ensemble theatre, and have trained, taught, and performed locally and internationally.
