I am learning Spanish so that I can be more accessible. I subscribe to magazines and follow design trends on the internet. Occasionally, I find a class where I can learn a new skill. If a student wants to learn something that I do not have a lot of experience with, I will review the skill before the lesson or find a recommend another teacher who may better meet their needs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
I charge by the hour, not by the person. If you would like to share your lesson, you can split the cost with friends. You can also create your own class by suggesting a topic and recruiting students.

I have a very talented student who loves to sew. The week before Valentine's Day we worked together and powered through a ton of projects he gave as gifts for the holiday. I still fill inspired by all we got done.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Communicate exactly what you want and need. I am very flexible, patient and creative. I have a vast range of skills, talents and knowledge. If I can't meet your needs, I will try to help you find some else who can.
Shop around, read reviews, compare prices, class sizes, locations and schedules. If a class is in a store are they going to make you buy expensive materials? Are you going to be sharing the teacher with a dozen or more other students? Do you want the social atmosphere of a class? Are you shy and uncomfortable asking questions when you need help in group settings?
Is English your second language? I regularly work with students who speak a variety of languages. I am trying to learn Spanish. I am specifically focusing on the words used by crocheters in all the different dialects and regional accents of Latin America.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
When magazines and yarn companies publish a designers work, the designer gets paid one relatively small amount. When the designer provides help to the consumers using a pattern, they do not get paid for providing that service. They do it out of the kindness of their heart. Patterns also get edited by a publisher. It is not always the designer's fault the consumer is having trouble understanding a pattern.
