My split system unit had stopped working. It is over 20 years old so I figured it was time. Gino came by for a free estimate (not all companies do that) and quoted me a very fair price. When Gino came to install the unit he tested the dedicated circuit breaker and it turned out it wasn’t working. It seemed very strange but he then mentioned that he saw Con Ed working outside. He went out to talk to them and it turned out that the 220 transformer had stopped working and so the unit was most likely perfectly fine (turned out it was!) and so no need for a new unit after all. I am leaving a review anyway because Gino handled the situation with grace despite the fact that he and his co worker had just wasted valuable time on a job that wasn’t needed. They cleaned everything up and when the power came on the unit was fine. Even though I obviously can’t comment specifically on how the job was done ( since it turned out that it wasn’t necessary) I got really good vibes. When the unit inevitably stops working, I know exactly who to call.
