Introduction: I follow the most recent electric codes.most Electricians install minimum code requirements. My belief is that minimum safety is not good enough. Others might do it cheaper but not without cutting corners. I don't cut any corners. I love seeing satisfied customers when my job is done.I like to educate my customers on safety and energy conservation. I love to see a quality finished product especially on a challenging project. 24 hour cancelation notice is required. If you cancel the job at the time of appointment you will be charged for a service call which is $125.

I had a tricky electrical job that two other electricians weren't able to figure out. Buchanan electrician was able to sort out the wiring to the correct configuration. He also installed a GFI as a bonus. Excellent work by a fine gentleman.

After my request for an appointment with Buchanan Electric. I received a response quickly. He was able to come that day and gave me his prices up front. He had me take a picture so he would know if he had the correct part. He was able to fix the issue quickly and let me know some important information about my fuse box. He also went out of his way to check another issue I had. I really appreciated that. I would not hesitate to use him again or recommend him.

Buchanan Electric Inc. was yet another amazing Thumbtack find. I was able to help coordinate the install of a Google/Nest Floodlight Camera for my parents. Scheduling and follow-up was super-easy, all correspondence was incredibly prompt and friendly. We are in the process of selling our home. We contacted Buchanan Electric to fix several electrical issues in our basement. Ed responded in a timely manner and provided us with an onsite inspection and subsequent estimate for the corrective work. Ed scheduled an appointment with us and corrected each of the issues. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard hourly rate for 1 man is $125.00 depending on the job it may be a flat rate fee but every job is different. no 2 jobs are alike.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I go meet with the customer. I want to see the project they are requesting my expertise for. I ask what their needs and requirements are. What their vision is for the completed project. I'll take measurements. I will return with a quote within a day or two. If hired, we will set a start date.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend conventions and seminars regularly to learn about new products and code changes to try to be one step ahead of the next guy.
