What a privilege to have Dorothy as my cello instructor. I so appreciate her special attention to my unique needs as an adult learner returning to the cello after many years. She oriented me from the beginning of what the best plan was for me in so many ways all the way from how to choose a quality instrument to a good practice routine that would help me ease into playing comfortably. She was always attentive to what was best for me at each lesson as my needs changed. I especially enjoyed her playing duets with me as it was a great way to help my intonation and was really just great fun!
She also gave me confidence pointing out my strengths and giving me feedback as needed. She is actually well-suited for learners of any age and any level with her seasoned experience as a professional cellist in addition to her experience as a teacher. Her great knowledgeable of a wide variety of repertoire available for all interests and levels is a great plus too! I so appreciate her availability and flexibility with scheduling as well.
