FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer individual private lessons at the rate of $30/half hour, $60/hour, or any variation thereof. I offer group lessons at $20/half hour per student, and also offer a referral discount of a $10 credit for each new family you recommend. The majority of my students are referrals, and word of mouth is easily my most effective advertising.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For each new student I take on, I get as much information regarding their history, current skill level, goals, and amount of time they would like to spend on working in the water prior to the initial lesson. I create a personalized lesson plan based on this information, and then use the first ten minutes of our time in the water to solidify our plan. The rest of the lesson will be spent touching on the specific areas the student wishes to improve, and every lesson ends with a recap and further recommendations.
