With nearly a decade of teaching under my belt, and over 23 years of playing and studying music behind me, I specialize in finding the gaps in my student's musical education, and filling them so that they are given ALL of the tools that they need to succeed, not just some. My experience in both classical and popular music gives me the unique advantage of being able to coach students in both arenas.
My students have gone on to receive outstanding NYSSMA scores, master their college auditions, and become confident and expressive musicians, performers and songwriters.

Dayna was a really helpful teacher! I already had some violin experience back in high school but I unfortunately stopped. But, I was able to pick it up thanks to her. She helped better my vibrato techniques, make accents more effective and obvious, and my legato to be very smooth. Dayna also has a very sweet personality and made me feel very comfortable. I recommend her definitely!

Dayna was excellent. I am an experienced musician picking up the violin, and she was able to get me up to speed in no time. She was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly prepared.
