FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Soigné at Home, we believe in transparent, fair pricing that reflects the level of service, skill, and personalization we provide. Our pricing is designed to give you maximum value on the plate—not hidden markups. Here’s how it works: 1. Chef Fee (Flat or Per Person) This covers menu planning, prep, shopping, cooking, plating, and clean-up For private dinners and events, we typically charge a per-person or flat chef fee based on guest count, service style, complexity, and location For weekly meal prep, pricing is often a fixed weekly rate based on how many meals and deliveries you need 2. Groceries at Cost (No Markups) We shop everything fresh for your event or meals You’re only billed for groceries at the exact price paid, with receipts provided This ensures you’re not overpaying for ingredients and lets you prioritize quality where it matters most 3. Optional Add-Ons (As Needed) Servers, bartenders, or additional staff can be arranged for larger events We can also coordinate rentals (plates, glassware, linens) or help design a bar/beverage setup Add-ons are always quoted clearly in your estimate 4. Travel & Logistics Travel is typically included within NYC, Long Island, and the Hamptons Some peak summer weekends or extended distances may include a flat travel fee, which we’ll note in advance 5. Deposit & Final Payment A 30–50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date Final payment is due 48 hours before the event (or weekly for recurring services) We accept Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Square (credit cards), and ACH bank transfers Why We Price This Way Unlike restaurants or caterers, we separate groceries from service fees so you know exactly where your money is going. This model gives you flexibility, quality, and trust—and allows us to tailor every experience to your needs, not a fixed package.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At Soigné at Home, our process is designed to be seamless, personal, and detail-driven from the very first message. Initial Inquiry You reach with basic details — the type of event or service, your preferred date(s), guest count, and any dietary preferences or restrictions. Consultation & Estimate We respond within 24–48 hours with a transparent estimate that outlines the chef fee, projected grocery costs (at cost), any add-ons (staffing, rentals, etc.), and deposit requirements. Menu Planning Based on your preferences, we create a customized menu proposal that reflects the season, your taste, and the experience you want. You’ll have a chance to review, ask questions, and request adjustments. Booking & Deposit Once the details are confirmed, we request a non-refundable deposit (typically 30–50% of the chef fee) to officially reserve the date and begin prep on our end. Execution & Service We handle all grocery shopping, prep, and logistics. On the day of your event (or meal prep delivery), we arrive on time, cook, serve, and clean—providing a full-service, stress-free experience. Post-Service Wrap-Up After the event or delivery, we follow up with grocery reimbursement (with receipts), check in for feedback, and discuss future services or repeat bookings if desired. This process applies to private dinners, meal prep services, retreats, and more—always tailored to fit your needs, preferences, and lifestyle. We aim to make it as easy and enjoyable as possible, from start to finish.
