Hi there, my name is Philicia Montgomery and I specialize in portraits and event photography and needless to say, I love my job. This is the most rewarding, challenging, and fulfilling profession I’ve ever had and I am so excited to be doing what I love and sharing my art with new people on a daily basis. Photos are what we use to freeze moments in time—freeze the moment the model breaks her composure because she’s laughing at her photographer doing a split to capture the shot, freeze the moment the father of the bride twirls his daughter at her wedding, freeze the moment a grandma decides to try the new hip dance at the family reunion—and I am an expert at capturing these priceless moments. I strive to have my photos tell a story when years later, when a bride or birthday girl or guest looks back at the photos, she remembers exactly what happened in the moments I photograph.

When searching for a photographer on Thumbtack I was a bit apprehensive. They provided many good choices. Philmont's pics on her link stood out. She responded quickly and was professional over the phone. Her explanation of her style at events was what I was seeking. Her fees are more than reasonable. Day of the event she was on time. She functioned with ease and never was an interruption to the event or anyone attending and working the event. My videographer was hired separately and he commented on how he enjoyed working with her. Family and friends delighted in her friendliness and welcoming attitude. The photos arrived today and there are plenty. We truly enjoyed the special moments captured. We especially enjoyed those moments that certainly were surprise shots. Definitely recommend using Philmont.

Philicia was absolutely fantastic. Im very camera shy when it comes to taking pictures and she made me feel right at ease. Working with her is like catching up with an old friend she had such a warm and inviting personality. My pictures came back even better than I had hoped and I got them quicker than expected. Philicia was amazing to work with during our wedding party! She asked questions prior to the date to get details and to better understand what we wanted (mostly candid shots). Philicia’s contract was easy to understand and her prices were very reasonable. She arrived early and everyone appeared comfortable while she was moving around the room. Philicia was very professional and accommodating. Her pictures were finished early. She gave us exactly what we wanted. The photos were great quality and you could really feel the energy of the party when looking through them. Our friends and family were all happy with the pictures, as well. My typical process for working with a new customer is always scheduling a call. I think phone calls are easier and more efficient when learning about a new event or portraits and it's best to be on the same page so the process will go smoothly.
