I’ve been in the hospitality industry for 14 years. I started Little Plates which was a very successful healthy food program for kids in daycares and private schools. I traveled the country catering micro events for the last couple years, and started a luxury picnic business on the Oregon coast & Washington state. Chef Lydia is an absolute gem! She prepared an outstanding catered meal for our wedding party of 70 guests. Working with her was an absolute delight. Her attention to detail, warmth, and passion for what she does made the entire experience unforgettable; if I could rate her higher than five stars, I absolutely would—she offers a 10-star service!

From the beginning, Chef Lydia made the entire process seamless. She shared several dishes she regularly prepares, and I was able to select a custom menu for our evening. I was immediately impressed by her warmth, professionalism, and the variety of menu options she offered. Chef Lydia’s food was OUTSTANDING! I’m a foodie and absolutely love to eat—and every bite exceeded my expectations. From the refreshing mocktail and beautifully curated charcuterie board, to the incredible main course and homemade dessert, everything was perfect. Even the pickiest eater at our table had nothing but praise—we all genuinely loved everything. What truly set the experience apart was the level of care and service. Chef Lydia and her assistant, Nathan, not only cooked but also set the table, cleared everything afterward, hand-washed the dishes, and put everything away. They were also incredibly fun and engaging, happily answering all our cooking questions throughout the evening. This was my first experience with Chef Lydia, but it definitely won’t be my last. We haven’t stopped talking about her food, and we’re already looking forward to hosting another event with her soon.

I wish I could choose every option above because Lydia was incredible! From the very start she was a delight to work with, flexible, easygoing, and even modified her menu to include our bride’s favorite fish AND an extra appetizer! She arrived on time, was fully prepared and everything came out amazing! Exceeded every expectation we had. Lydia is such a genuine and kind person as well, and this is proved so obviously through her passion for her work. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience with her!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I actually love working with new clients and clients who have never hired a chef before. I try I and make it easy and streamline it as much as possible! I’m here to make it a luxurious and fun experience.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been in the industry for 14 years in every aspect of restaurants, then in 2014 I jumped feet first into an organic food program for kids that o created from scratch. I started it at a daycare and it expanded to a private school as well. I absolutely loved being in the kitchen and crafting delicious, nutritious menus!
