I contacted Miguel to replace some old valves on the supply lines intended for a new washing machine at my mother's 70+ year old house, including the main shut-off valve, and to assess other valves for potential issues. Miguel was very responsive and punctual. He identified other valves of concern but didn't pressure me to replace them unnecessarily. He also proposed a solution for adding a new drain pipe for the washing machine (which he would have installed on the spot if he'd had the right part). Miguel was a pleasure to work with: professional, personable, courteous, and knowledgeable. He explained his work and rationale clearly, and offered objective, informative advice. I'll definitely hire him again.

I hired Proper Plumbing to remove old Copper waste pipes and replace with PVC due to leaking issues. Miguel quoted a fair price and was able to get me on the schedule quickly. He arrived on time with his partner and got to work. The job was complex, but Miguel and his partner completed it without any problems. Professional high quality plumbing work at a fair price. They also cleaned up the work areas and left my house like it was when they arrived. I would not hesitate to hire Proper Plumbing again, and recommend them 100%.

I had a slow drain in a double sink for some time and nothing I tried would resolve it. Recently, I dropped a necklace down the drain. I couldn’t get the trap open to retrieve it. It was time to call for help! I read a lot of reviews online and Miguel’s business kept coming up with all positive comments, so I reached out. He was quick to respond, easy to communicate with about the issue, and worked with my availability to schedule an appointment. Miguel took excellent care of my home. He immediately put covers on his shoes as he walked in and put a drop cloth on the bathroom floor before getting to work. He resolved the issues and cleaned up everything afterwards. As an added bonus, he reviewed my fire alarms and heating/hot water setup with me, and gave me some guidance on safety and regular maintenance. The estimate he provided ahead of time was fair and didn’t increase when the job was done. Also, I feel it is important to note that he was very professional, personable, and I felt extremely comfortable with him in my home. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and will call him back if needed!
