Very personable and seems like a perfect match. Has great ideas but we are only at the very beginning of this design project. It’s the complete design of a 3br house that was severely damaged by Superstorm Sandy.

It is a company run by a highly professional and delightfully personable couple, who complement each other perfectly and are clearly passionate about their chosen career. In charge of all matters design-related, Mariama’s expert eye for style, color, materials and space has proved invaluable in the process of turning our new house into a classy, inviting and treasured home. Magi Designs has not only met my high expectations, but actually exceeded them. I was sold ever since my first consultation with them. A winning attitude and outstanding listening skills were coupled with Mariama’s uncanny ability to quickly identify our (mainly mine) tastes and styles, as well as effortlessly and creatively managing to incorporate existing pieces of furniture into an innovative design and layout. Throughout the process, I was given options, never pressured, merely gently guided in the direction of my desired look. Moreover, even my husband, who was initially opposed to involving professionals, was very pleasantly surprised upon realizing that his apprehension of designers creating an overly pricey space proved to be completely unfounded. In fact, we were both astounded at how very affordable this project turned out to be! This was significantly aided by the trade discounts we benefited from, as well as our team’s highly commendable diligence and efficiency. This project, so close to my heart, was perfectly executed from concept to end product, very timely and within budget. In summary, they have been a veritable joy to work with, and I intend to continue consulting their expertise. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing structure is flexible, depending on the clients' wishes. We typically charge hourly, and we always pass on our trade discounts on all furnishings to all our clients.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically start off with a brief phone conversation to introduce ourselves, get some details on the project, and set up a free initial consultation. We then like to meet at the space, meet the potential clients face to face, explain the entire process and what they can expect, and then more times than not, we're off and running!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in Interior Design from The Art Center Design College in Seattle.
