Brodie laid over 800 square feet of Vinyl flooring for me (including staring). He was professional, reliable, and extremely hard working. The floors turned out amazing.

Hired on Thumbtack

Brodie showed up on time and went through the job with me. He is a good listener and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. He painted the livingroom walls, and living and dining room ceilings. He also had to take care of a couple of small ceiling cracks. My wife and I are very apperciative of the fine work he did for us. Brodie is very personable and professional. I recommend you contact him for your interior painting needs.

Details: Home • 2 rooms • Walls • Ceiling • Under 8 feet • Repainting - color change • Fair - minor holes and scratches • No, this is not new construction • Yes, I would like the painter to help move things

Being new to the Thumbtack situation, I was not sure what to expect. Brodie Loftus responded quickly and had a plan, estimate and timeframe for the project as soon as he had the information. I needed antique furniture moved from one residence to another; Brodie was patient, careful and respectful of my belongings and time. With good help so difficult to find these days, I really lucked out hiring Brodie and would highly recommend him.

Details: Large items to haul • Furniture, appliances or electronics • Enough to fill one pickup truck • There are no flights of stairs

Brodie is a scumbag. Gives me a price. And we get a contact done. I agreed to it. And then ignores my calls and changing his mind because he found other jobs now. Don’t deal with him.

Details: Home • 3 rooms • Walls • Ceiling • Under 8 feet • Repainting - same color • Excellent - clean and smooth • Homeowner or property manager • No, this is not new construction • No, I will move things out of the way myself

First contact with customer was on Thursday, Sep 29th, 2022. I met with Al at the home within a week. He explained to me that they needed labor to paint a dining room and a living room with a slanted ceiling with high point of 15 feet. 3 bedrooms were mentioned as future ideas. I quoted $1100 initially. After a few weeks Al informed me that they were not ready for paint and that the weren't sure when they'd be ready. I told Al to contact me when they are ready and I would provide my availability. There was no contact until Wednesday, November 30, 2022. On this date Al contacted me and we discussed painting all of the rooms mentioned above. I quoted $2400 and mentioned I would plan for 3 full days to prep and paint with a tentative (not agreed upon) date of December 10-12. Al counteroffered with $2000, to which I replied that I needed to acquire and travel with my equipment (scaffolding, trailer, miscellaneous supplies) and would be able to do this for $2200. I expressed that the $200 would really just be offsetting fuel costs and time for prepping to arrive ready to go on the job site. I also expressed to Al that I would like to see the spaces before the date that work was to begin. He then responded that we would "talk on the 10th" and we could "discuss 2 or 22". Al also explained previously to me that they wished to move in soon and that the 10th through 12th would be preferred. I believe the quote I gave for labor was a fair price and have included a link at the bottom of this message to a website that can help give an estimate by zip code for various labor including interior painting. I was basically asking for 1/3 of the LOW end price estimates. I work a full-time job while doing jobs like this when I am able. I understood that this was a time priority job however, after going back and forth with text messages, I grew tired of negotiating with this customer, especially after the first time I was supposed to do a job for them, it fell through. I also, did not want to be negotiating price on the day that work was to begin, without previously seeing the spaces. Here is a link to HomeWyse where anybody can plug in numbers to get a high and low estimate for different jobs. https://homewyse.com/services/cost_to_paint_home.html Sorry we couldn't come to a better agreement.
