FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For a harpist, the transportation of equipment, set-up and tuning are a huge factor. That's why the first hour is usually more expensive. It's also why the discount for the second hour only applies to the same location. If I have to pack up my harp and drive somewhere, I charge for each hour as if it were the first. Extra services, such as special music or rehearsals are also additional. Please ask for a quote.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In order to make the most of live music at your wedding ceremony, look for someone who listens to your ideas and suggests a program that will make your dream of the perfect wedding music come true. Communication is key. Experience and professionalism are essential. Don't trust your wedding to a student or amateur for the sake of price.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
In order to make the most of live music at your wedding ceremony, it is important for the musician to coordinate with all the other service providers. Be sure to let your officiant and caterer know that there will be a musician and be clear about the program and cues. If your harpist is playing at the cocktail hour, the caterer needs to know in advance in order to create a space in the room.
