The food and experience with the Mis En Place team could not have been better. No contest!
Dan helped me curate a menu that fit the varied palates of our crew and was light yet fulfilling- a request to end a packed day of wine tasting. The entire group of 8 of us were blown away by the taste, quality and presentation of the food. The chopped salad was unforgettable- salad memorable? YES! I want that dressing recipe. The chicken was moist and savory with perfectly crisped skin. The charred broccolini and fingerling potatoes slow roasted in duck fat, bomb!! And wow- the lemon grapefruit tart was so Tasty. It was perfectly tart and not too sweet- the ultimate pleaser to end an outstanding meal.
Jonathan was our chef and he was an executional genius. He not only brought the menu to life, but he was meticulous in the preparation and service. I saw him checking the temperature of the chicken frequently and with attentive precision, hence the exceptional result. He arrived on time, was dressed like the professional chef he is, had all of his ingredients neatly arranged, having been prepared and measured beforehand, accommodated our small chat as we moved in and out of the kitchen (albeit on the wined up side) without missing his own beat, served us graciously, and left the kitchen immaculately cleaned when the meal was complete. He’s the real deal!
This meal was unforgettable and I wil not hesitate to use Mis En Place for my future catering and culinary needs. Thanks Jonathan and Dan! All the best to you guys.

Renee was great for a recent dinner party at our house. She arrived on time, well prepared and was very flexible with our schedule when the timing sipped. The food was excellent, everyone loved it, thank you ! Special props for the glueten/egg free chocolate cake.

Where to even begin! With constant changes to our original wedding plans due to Covid, we finalized the details about a month before our wedding date. We had no caterers, so I quickly searched Thumbtack for a team to prepare a fresh sit-down meal for about 30 guests. So glad Mise En Place was available. Dan, Andrew and the team were so amazing to work with. They made my wedding very special by going above and beyond even in the 100 degree, smokey weather. The food tasted great, and everyone was easy to work with. My go-to for future events now! Highly recommend Mise En Place - you won’t be disappointed.

We hired Mise en Place and Dan’s team to do a birthday dinner in Mill Valley. Dan exceeded are expectations for what we wanted. I had to plan last minute and he was still very accommodating and flexible to what we wanted on our menu and dietary restrictions. The dinner itself was delicious, and for our group of 10 made more than enough food - highlights were definitely the ceviche, the marinated pork, and roast chicken. Also shoutout to the lemon herb green sauce was also ridiculously good we wanted to pour it on everything. Thanks Dan so much for such an amazing birthday dinner, we really enjoyed having you and will definitely hire you again.

Dan is an incredible chef. I had a small gathering for 20 people for my father’s 60th birthday celebration. Dan and his crew were punctual and professional. We had spent the previous few weeks leading up to the event deciding the menu, kitchen necessities, and timing. We had rented a community center with a pretty empty kitchen. Dan made sure I knew what he was providing versus what I was providing. Upon arrival, Dan and his crew got right to work. We had four tapas-style appetizers and a fantastic lamb entree (we took care of dessert). Dan is an amazing chef, incredibly kind, and very flexible.
I highly recommend hiring Dan for any of your event needs. You’ll be missing out on great food and great service if you don’t!

Pricing ranges anywhere from $100 - $140 per person. We can offer lower than $100 per person, but it will depend on the size of your group and the type of food you'd like.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by settling on a date and time. Next, customers select menu items from out website or together we customize a menu based off of preferences and budget.
