I pay very close attention to the small details that a lot of people over look. I take my time instead of rushing through the job. My company is small so im not trying to manage multiple jobs at 1 time. I can give all my attention to 1 customer at a time. I love working with my hands, problem solving, always learning. Making a customers idea, or something they wish they had come to life. Meeting new people. Definitely the look on people's faces when the project is finished. Making people happy.

AJ was very professional He is knowledgeable and showed up on time and did the job in two days He recognized faults of earlier contractors (always) and fixed them. You can not go wrong with capital contractors

I had the roof replaced on my garage/art studio. I had to get both repair and replace quotes, since I am on a very limited budget. AJ had a solid quote for both options, and I was able to go with the whole roof replacement. Seemed like it was done overnight! Great communication, excellent craftsmanship, and no surprises :)! So often jobs like this take longer than expected and there can be "cost creep", but it was all clear and straight forward and the project went very smoothly. They delivered exactly what they said they would, and even did a bit of extra repair that was needed on the roof at no additional cost. Everything looks great. I'm super pleased and will definitely hire Capital Contractors again when I need work done!

Working with AJ McDonald was an outstanding experience. After viewing his profile through thumbtack I decided to call him for an estiment. Mr. Mc Donald arrived on time an gave me a prompt affordable email with my quote. My roof was completed on time and looks great. I'm completely satisfied, I've tried to contact other companies that never called back or showed up. I live 3.5 hours away from my rental. Mr. McDonald and I never met in person and managed to do business via phone, us postal and email. After I saw my completed roof I felt relived I hired this company.

We hired AJ to fix our roof and perform some other small jobs. We could not be more pleased! From estimate to follow up and everywhere in between AJ was polite, responsive, knowledgeable, and most of all he cares. We will certainly use Capital Contractors again!

Very satisfied with completed work on my 2 car garage. AJ and crew were no nonsense and repaired the wood deck of the roof before replacing the old shingles. They removed outdated chimney and painted the exterior wood of the entire garage. When all was done, they attached a state of the art basketball backboard and rim to the slanted roof. They removed all debris from the garage and surrounding property. I would hire AJ and his crew again if need be.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started a roofing company at the age of 20, just after leaving the US Army, in the Army I was a 54B (Nuclear Biological Chemical Specialist). As time went on I expanded my knowledge of all trades. Capital Contractors now specializes in all phases of home remodeling.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Roofing, painting, drywall, kitchen & bathroom renovations are the most common work we do. But handle all phases of building from the ground up.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
last 2 kitchen projects have been very beautiful, from design to completion. Both jobs located in Latham, NY. Each project was about 4 weeks.
