Science-based balanced training for a calm and happy dog. Success for all breeds and sizes, from Chihuahua to Mastiff; and all stages of life - puppy to senior; and all temperaments, from barking aggressively at the end of a leash to cowering in fear.
Most behavior issues can be managed or resolved within just a few sessions with behavior modification plans that address self confidence and self control for the dog, and empowerment and joy for the family.
Beyond dealing with anxiety, fear, and aggression, I also bring experience in obedience, scent detection, service tasking, rally obedience, dock diving, flyball, agility, and even teaching tricks.

I’ve had many dogtraining experiences over the past 25 years. Some of them were good, I learned, and then I moved on. A few others were exceptional and ended in life long friendships. That’s what FLX Dog feels like. It feels like home. But you probable want to know about the training. I’ve never been able to walk my dog, a three year old border terrier, without him pulling and without him going bonkers every time he sees another dog. Jenine had us walking next to each other in a civilized manner in no time! That alone was worth it. I highly recommend FLX Dog whether you have problem behaviors you want to fix, just need some canine advice or want to get your dog into dog sports. Max and I couldn’t be happier!

We started training my 3 1/2 month old mini golden doodle 3 weeks ago and every week my puppy got better and easier to care for. Jenine explains why she does every part of training so I could easily understand why she does what she does. She’s the best! I’m so glad I found her! My son started using her as well after he saw my training session.

Jenine was amazing! As 1st time dog owners we wanted to ensure that we did right by our puppy and in 6 weeks, he’s come a long way. Admittedly, we haven’t been as consistent, with what Jenine taught us and despite that, her methods and techniques work! Our pup has learned so much and so have we. Training does not have to be arduous, training should be fun and Jenine makes it fun! Thank you Jenine! We are going to practice and look forward to future training for more fun activities for our boy!

We have enjoyed working with Jenine over the past 5 weeks with Anxiety issues with our 3 yr old rescue. She comes each week to our home with new exercises to help work on our dog’s issues that we continue with to do a bit each day to reinforce the training. He is making good progress so far.

WOW. WOW. WOW! Jenine was literally amazing. I won't bore you with LONG story, but let me just say that she has been able to aide me in the finishing touches to complete training with my highly distractable stubborn Siberian Husky! She was able to really give me and my fiance help with better commands and explain why the commands (& her training) WORKS as well. Sooo... pick Jenine (J9 & K9 Training and Conditioning).

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We will work on a custom plan for your situation. Longer-term training plans are much better for the dog and will be more economical per-session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will meet for an initial training session. During that session our goal is to address immediate behavior concerns with safety as the #1 priority. As we identify longer-term goals we will put a plan in place. Owners should expect to do "homework" between sessions to practice and reinforce learning. Daily short training sessions are essential and often require no more than 15 minutes. For owners not able to commit to daily training, the board-and-train option might be best.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Human psychology course work, canine conditioning, PEMF therapy to treat depression and anxiety in dogs, personal experiences with obedience and dog sports training and conditioning.
I was a lead volunteer for Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) for a few years, and participated in the Fairfax Pets on Wheels program. By profession I am a trained educator and coach.
