- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A typical design process starts with a consultation, either in the showroom or thru alternative means like Facetime or Skype. This allows the designer to ascertain what space you're working on and ask questions about how the room will be used. Next we invite the client to look around, trying things out in the showroom. We want to show you the ETHAN ALLEN difference in quality and construction. We will often start to play with fabrics and finishes at this point. With our purchasing clients, we will follow-up the showroom visit with a trip to your home to measure the space, see the adjoining rooms, and get a clearer picture of who you are. We will bring out the barics you may be considering to see how they work in your light. The goal is to create a room that is YOU so the house call is vitally important. If we are talking about window treatments, now is the time we do the preliminary measure for quoting purposes. After we return to the showroom, we get to work making final decisions and selections, often incorporating a floor plan. We will price out the project as we prepare for... The buying appointment where we will verify selections, fabrics and finishes, the accents that make the room, and window treatments if they are part of the plan. Once the order is placed we will do the rest to ensure when the room is installed, you will never want to leave it.
