Introduction: Thanks for reading about me! I joined thumbtack.com about a year ago and I've been so very fortunate to be able to offer my services to the most amazing couples! I'm a female Ordained Minister in the Hudson Valley Region of New York. I've married couples beneath waterfalls, along the edge of the Ashokan Reservoir, overlooking the Hudson River, in a rustic barn, an open field and standing under a tree in the bride's childhood backyard! I love the Hudson Valley and will help you find your memorable spot or go wherever you need me too! I became an Officiant shortly after I got married in 2010 and am so happy I did! I've been able to perform the ceremony for family, for friends, couples that desire a non-denominational wedding and those from out of town who choose the beautiful Hudson River Valley as the backdrop for their special day. Michelle was excellent in officiating our wedding. She made us feel as if she was a family member officiating our wedding. She was so personable and sweet. Michelle officiated our elopement ceremony and she was phenomenal! Michelle has an impeccable attention to details. She send us questionnaires weeks before the elopement and crafted a beautiful ceremony for us. She also stayed in touch with us throughout the planning stage and made us feel really well taken care of. Michelle’s warm personality put us at ease when we were both feeling nervous. Words cannot properly describe the absolutely wonderful experience we had using Michelle as our wedding officiant. She took her time getting to know me and my husband leading up to the ceremony and it really showed in her delivery. A few months before our wedding day she sent out questionnaires for us to fill out separately and she incorporated our answers into the ceremony so beautifully, it was the perfect mix of romantic and funny. If I had to do it all over again, I would pick Michelle every time!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending if there is a rehearsal I have to attend, or if I have to provide my portable sound system, and the distance I have to travel, it all plays in what the quote would be. However, I'm absolutely willing to work within their budget and discuss the price, etc.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I have a couple who is interested in having me officiate their wedding, we will begin with a phone conversation, if they're happy with the way it went, then we'll plan to meet in person at which time I'll provide a complimentary consultation. I always will leave with encouraging the couple to think about our meeting, give it a least a day and then we'll see if it's a go!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a DJ / Emcee for over 20 years and feel comfortable in front of a large or intimate group of people. I've been married, I've worked with brides for many, many years and know very well that THIS is one of the most important days of her life! (yes his / her significant other too)
