We have current legal action under way against Matt Torre/M3. This "company" was formed a few months ago and is basically a vehicle for Torre to do odd jobs or, in our case, to vastly over-promise, over-charge and under-deliver. He will lie to you constantly, even when it's easily disprovable. He actually made our home WORSE. Against my deepest reservations, we hired him to finish a mudroom project that was already 45% complete...our previous contractor was skilled but distracted by bigger jobs. We got a few estimates and while M3 charged the most for the least scope of work, he promised to start a couple days later and complete the project within twoish weeks. He pledged to be on site constantly, to communicate vigorously and to do meticulous work. None of that happened. The disrespect for or home, the corner-cutting and shoddiness is actually staggering. He has no actual crew beyond one older chain-smoking gentleman (who did work hard, on his own). His partner/trades are fully employed elsewhere and he himself can't seem to get to a job site before noon, and only for a couple hours a couple times a week. I expressed my dismay at different points and we finally terminated M3 when the project, going on nearly twice as long as promised, was still only 75% complete with most everything done poorly. I mean, somehow they even managed to ruin a paint job on the back exterior of our home that had nothing to do with the project (see photo). FWIW the home had been professionally pained to perfection in 2024. We've done major renovations at previous homes, seen the best of the business. This is the other guy. Zero work ethic beyond 'making the sale,' zero pride in work and zero respect for the people who are paying him to do a job. If you have means, he will try to exploit that. I look forward to burying him legally and I warn all of you to stay away.
