My name is Ursula, I'm a voice teacher & singer-songwriter with 15 years of singing and performing experience. I was musically trained at NYU Steinhardt, where I learned how to sing by utilizing our natural resonance, to keep the voice healthy & give us longevity. I use techniques and tricks to help singers not only learn how to use their instrument to their highest potential, but to feel comfortable with their strengths and insecurities.
I think the best thing about me as a teacher is that every student I work with comes out of their shell and immediately feels more confident after a lesson with me.

My daughter had her first lesson with Ursula and literally by the end of the session I heard such a difference in her vocals, the confidence she gained and the self awareness of knowing how far her range could go was just amazing. Ursula gave her so many techniques that helped tremendously. Not to mention her overall personality! We instantly felt comfortable. She was very warm, sweet, inviting and has impeccable communication skills-l never had to question her or double back on anything. My daughter is so excited to continue working with her (she wont stop practicing around the house lol) and I cannot wait to hear the development in her voice. Ursula is TRULY a gem!

Hiring Ursula to support my daughter's singing and musical development has been a complete success! I've been impressed with how professional Ursula is - she arrives prepared with high interest material and on time to every meeting. My daughter had been very shy of "sharing her voice" with those outside of our immediate family, and Ursula, being very relatable, immediately broke through with her. After a couple of meetings, my daughter auditioned for a role in a musical and got the part! Prior to the experience working with Ursula, her anxiety and lack of confidence had led to her canceling auditions. Their meetings have been engaging and fun ever since the first session, with my daughter trying her best and really stretching throughout the weekly lesson. My daughter's confidence has grown and I credit Ursula with enabling this positive development!

I feel like I hit the jackpot finding Ursula as my child's teacher. My daughter is so excited for her music lesson every week, and is always smiling afterwards and wants to tell me all about it. I can tell that my child has a lot of fun and feels encouraged working with Ursula! After even a few weeks I heard huge growth in my daughter's singing, and she gained the confidence to sing in front of people. Ursula is a FANTASTIC singer herself, and she motivates my child to continue learning. I recommend her highly to those wanting to become singers at any age!!

Ursula is a premier musician and a stellar supportive coach! I always walk out of my voice lessons with Ursula feeling like I learned something valuable. She really made my confidence grow, even after only a few lessons, and I've now begun singing at open mics and writing my own music. She is extremely professional, skilled at what she does, and she creates a warm environment that is welcoming to students.
