After every visit you will receive an update either through our app or via email from your pet caregiver with photos and a note about how the visit went, so you have immediate reassurance that your pet was cared for. We are a locally owned and operated company with a passion for outstanding pet care. Mark took great care of our collie, Austen, and kept in constant contact with me during the entire time. Austen was a very happy pup when we returned from our trip thanks to Mark spending quality time with him. I have complete confidence and trust in Rochester Dog Walkers. Highly recommended and the only dog sitting company I will work with from now on.

We couldn't have found anyone better! Mark is dependable and delightful, and provides us total peace of mind that our dog is in great hands. I have utilized Rochester Dog Walkers as a back-up to my full time dog walker, and for emergency on-call services for my puppy. Although just providing back-up & on call services as needed was not a preferred job for most dog walkers who were looking for full time work, Mark helped me out. He has been readily available and responded as quickly as possible with very short notice - one time a couple hours advance notice only. He is thorough and spent a good amount of time meeting with me initially to discuss arrangements, costs, expectations. It is a great relief to know I can count on him & his staff in a pinch. If Mark can't get here, he has already trained other staff at Rochester Dog Walkers to fill for him so I know there will always be someone I can count on that has been shown the ropes. Also important, he listens, follows and includes the pet owner's instructions in his contracts; he is respectful of the security of your home and always leaves a note to let you know how things went. He's also shared his observations with me which was helpful when deciding timing for potty training, how feedings are going, whether more time is needed for walks etc...I really appreciate his services and feel he went a bit above and beyond to help me out. When compared to our professional counterparts, you will see that we are competitively positioned. We stand out from others in our industry because our staff are Pet First Aid and CPR Certified in order to provide the highest level of care, we utilize software that has a client app (and GPS tracking) for convenient booking and easy payment and communication, and all of our staff are employees rather than independent contractors to give you peace of mind. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer a free in-home New Client Meeting (or "meet and greet") with all new clients so that we can discuss your pet care needs and make sure we are a good match for your pets!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Staying up to date with new developments in training, dog handling, and industry trends is critical. As a member of Pet Sitters Associates and pet industry-specific mastermind and professional development groups, we are able to draw from a broad range of experienced individuals who work in pet care related fields. Our amazing staff consists of experienced professionals: former vet techs, doggy daycare managers, long-time pet sitters, and shelter workers. All of our staff members go through an extensive training process focused on safety, security, pet handling/care, and Pet First Aid and CPR Certification.
