As ordained non-denominational Christian clergy with over 25 years of experience, my wife and I are honored to help couples begin (or renew) their life together with a meaningful, Christ-centered ceremony.
We officiate traditional weddings, elopements, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, and vow reaffirmations, and can also offer our parsonage backyard (for groups of 10 or fewer) at no extra charge. For simple ceremonies, you may come to our parsonage for a short service and completion of your marriage license.
We gladly extend a 50% discount to Active Duty U.S. Armed Forces members and Active Law Enforcement Officers.
As certified SYMBIS pre-marriage facilitators, we also offer a structured pre-marriage course for couples who want to build a strong, biblical foundation.

One of my biggest stressors when planning my wedding was hiring an officiant. I had many options at hand, but they all fell through last minute. My husband and I were able to hire Rev. Askins to officiate our wedding, and if I were to go back, I wouldn't change a thing. He is incredibly friendly and made planning the ceremony a breeze! Rev Askins made my daughter's wedding ceremony so special. When she reached out to him, he immediately emailed her a few ceremonies to choose from. My daughter and her then fiance selected the ceremony that they wanted. As Christians, they wanted a Christ centered service. He did a fabulous job including Jesus and our father in heaven into their ceremony. It was the perfect start for their new life together!
He was very flexible on his arrival time and very patient as we finished getting ready. We didn't even need a rehearsal! We could not have asked for a more perfect ceremony.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We want to make the cost for an Officiant to not be a burden on any couple. Our cost to Officiate your Wedding and or Rehearsal is $150 each. There is a $50 travel fee for destinations beyond 60 miles from Webster, NY. Destination Wedding quotes are available.
SYMBIS Pre Marriage facilitating (3-6 month) cost is $515 per couple
Active Military, Police, Fire receive a 50% discount.
COVID-19 Special COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS FOR WEDDINGS
Due to the current COVID-19 social distancing directives. We have several suggestions.
#1 We will work with all of those that have signed an Officiant Agreement to reschedule on a mutually acceptable date.
#2 We will perform a small 10 persons or less Wedding Ceremony on your original date at a place of your choosing and then at a later date perform a larger Reception Wedding Ceremony for no additional charge.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Recieving a confirming email from the customer detailing thier names, contact information, dates, location times and requirements. If they have questions before sending the confirming email they can contact me by phone.
After receiving a confirming email from prospective client confirming their Date(s), Location(s) and Time(s) of Wedding Rehearsal (If attendance is required) and Wedding, we then contact our client and discuss the requirements they are wanting.
We then send the client through email an "Officiant Agreement" for them to sign which outlines what we are providing and the agreed upon cost and how they can pay the 20% downpayment for our services in order to lock in our services for the dates requested.
After receiving the completed "Officiant Agreement" and the 20% deposit we contact the client and discuss their Wedding Ceremony and provide them with a final draft. This can be done over the phone or by Facetime.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My wife & I have been ordained Christian Ministers for over 40 years. I have a Masters and Doctorate in Practical Ministry.
My Wife and I are certified SYMBIS Pre Marriage facilitators and SYMBIS Marriage Mentors.
