I would caution against this service.
Take away:
1) poor communication
2) will use sales and scare tactic to exploit money out of you
3) will not be on time and not prepared to do the work agreed.

The person - I think their name is Izak, showed up and he was nice enough and walked me through the work he recommended for my chimney. I agreed to do some small repairs, replacing and patching some stuff inside the chimney, changing my cap aside from the cleanup for about 700 bucks.... Things went downhill from there. He says he would send me an invoice, but never did.He was scheduled for a Tuesday morning and at noon I called to see if he was still coming... he mentioned something about high winds and said he would reschedule but failed to let me know he wasn't coming before me reaching out. The whole thing just sounded like an excuse. Said he could not come, not the next day but Thursday and he locked for 11m. That day, around 12:15pm, already almost 2 hours later than he said he would come, I got a text saying they will be at my place at 1pm. He said he was driving towards my place but was 45 minutes away. He then does not show up till past 3pm. I am busy with work, and did not have time to check with others who may do the work so I was okay to go with the flow expecting the actual work would be decent.
He shows up with another person, and quickly the second person becomes the spokesperson... Izak is silent and barely talks to me the whole time... They sweep the chimney, and start to find additional "issues" some of which we had talked about but more and more problems they start to point out - Before you know it, the person who showed up with him starts to use sales tactic and is texting me some invoice showing a bill totaling 2700+ dollars.
Now, I finally see a breakdown of the cost and see that the sweep along which is why I called them in the first place is itemized at 250 bucks. Which is ridiculously expensive.The chimney cap replacement is itemized at $550. <- I did not ask for this, in fact, my chimney cap was just dirty. It is in fine condition.
Then there is about 2000 of additional work listed on the estimate.When I was talking to the second person and explaining how I could not afford that.He starts to double down on sales tactics on me about "calling their office to get me a discount"He goes to his car, and comes back 2 minutes later. tells me he "got me" the price down by 700. When I say I only want the work initially agreed today and could look at the rest for another day. He then tells me the discount is only good for today. Again, just made up sales stuff, it was just so transparent. The whole thing felt like a typical bait-and-switch interaction.
When I firmly decline, they say they have to go get my cap. That they will be back in 30 minutes. 1 hour and 15 minutes later. I have to call them to see where they are. This means, after failing to show up once and failing to be on time a second time. They showed up unprepared for the work discussed. All of the above in-person interaction happened while I was on and off calls for my work. I had cleared 2 hours at 11am in anticipation of noise or for having to leave the living room. But from 3:30 pm onward when they showed up, I simply could not cancel meetings.
By the time they showed up again with the chimney cap.
I've gone to my roof, screwed back my cap they left unscrewed in order to go get the one they would have brought in the first place.Brought down their tools and took all of their tools out to my curb. And left a check on their toolbox for the quoted sweep which that alone was 3x overpriced.
Do not hire this people. They clearly attempted predatory and scare tactics to get me to agree to work I must certainly did not need.2 days later I had one other person come look at my chimney then a third person 3 days after.None of them pointed out any of the "problems" these folks claimed I had.Not one of them suggested my chimney cap needed changing.Not one of them repeated any of the other "issues" these folks claimed my chimney had.
In fact, I pressed on the "issues" these folks had raised to me, and no one of the other folks said they were things of material concern.
Stay away.
