We held our wedding on a recent Sunday at Alger House and had the pleasure of working with Lia at Westbury Floral Designs. She was the first one to respond when I contacted several florists. I wanted to keep my budget low but had specific ideas I was working with. She was extremely accommodating to my needs and supplied me with a detailed proposal, which we were able to merge together to make my ideas come true. My initial concern was that the florist was located in Long Island, but the fact that Lia had previously worked with Alger House put me at ease. She was always in touch, especially in the final week, e-mailing and calling me to discuss final details to ensure that she would be there on our special day. She created wonderful alter pieces with a cascading design, which provided a beautiful background for our ceremony. My bouquet was studded with fall-inspired colors which was seasonally appropriate and gorgeous. Lia's suggestions to include colors and flowers based on availability that week turned out perfectly. Our aisle markers were simple yet exactly how I envisioned them. Lia delivered the flowers on time and decorated swiftly and with care. Even though I had limited funds and limited orders, she respected my needs and provided gorgeous arrangements within my budget. I received many compliments on the arrangements and the fresh flowers, which I took home to enjoy for many days following our wedding. Thank you, Lia, for providing us with such beautiful flowers to celebrate our big day!

This review is long overdue!!! Westbury Floral Designs was the best thing to happen to my wedding. I didn’t have tons of flowers because I wanted to keep things simple but elegant. I also saw a design I had in mind for my centerpieces and bouquets and they blew me away. They went beyond my expectations and everything was so beautiful. The service was excellent, very hands on and there was open communication until the day of my wedding. I came across this location via Thumbtack and was given an estimate that same day after I explained what I wanted. All my questions were promptly answered and any adjustments or edits that had to be made were handled efficiently and within the same day. The people here are very professional and efficient! The day of the wedding Lia delivered my flowers to my room and I fell in love with the arrangements… They were so beautiful… and Lia was amazing… She was my main contact person from the beginning, she brought my flowers over… and she even sent me a picture of the tables and cake (she put real flowers on my wedding cake – it was a last minute add on and she made it look extra gorgeous!!!) before she left the venue. I loved her! I loved her service, loved her work… It was a great Business arrangement and so thankful she was apart she was a part of my event!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
That a lot of the expensive florists out there may have a well known name or a fancy location, but we all buy flowers from the same wholesalers. If you find a small florist with lovely flowers, great customer service and unique designs. Go for it!
