Introduction: I am a Long Island based photographer whose work focuses on fashion and portraiture. I take more of a photo-journalistic/lifestyle approach to my photography; so most of my pictures have a natural, caught-in-the-moment, feel to them.
What I enjoy most is the ability to make my "new friends" happy; to be able to suspend time in their photographs, allowing people to relive those moments each time they look at their images. That's the ultimate goal with every person I encounter.

I used Peridot Imagery for my wedding. I already knew that I did not want traditional images. I wanted to use a photographer that took a more artistic approach to capturing the special day. April was very professional from the beginning. She was very interested in what my vision was, but was able to provide useful input and elaborate on my vision. The day of the wedding she showed up early and was so pleasant to work with. She made me feel extremely comfortable. When I received the images that she captured, which only took a couple of weeks, I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. She did an amazing job at bringing my vision to life. In fact, I preferred her work over the more expensive alternate photographer I hired. I would definitely recommend Peridot Imagery. I look forward to working with April in the near future.

Excellent Pictures with quick turnaround. Great Price with good quality pictures and also a online gallery to view is awesome. Definetly will call her for our next event.

I got some excellent photos done by Mrs. April James. She came to our residence a few minutes warly and immediately began providing several great ideas for possible photos. My fiance and I were extremely happy with her photos and especially enjoyed her professional calm demeanor while working with her. Great lighting great poses and great results.
