FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in a musical family, my mother is a music teacher and she passed the love of teaching onto me. I believe learning an instrument can add so much value to the quality of your life.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be patient and find the teacher that fits your style of learning. You should not have to struggle to understand concepts or be forced into learning methods/material that make the learning process no fun. Even so called "boring" material can be made fun and exciting when you have a teacher who explains concepts well and helps you understand the relationship of your practice material to your overall goals. The right teacher will make all the difference!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Being a great musician and a great teacher do not necessarily coincide. Both take hard work, dedication and intelligence. I studied with 5 different guitar teachers before I found the teacher that made me realize everything I was doing before wasn't even close to helping me reach my true potential... All of my teachers were excellent players.. Only one decided to become an excellent teacher.. I'm thankful he did!
